Houston’s Justin Frison moves past injury

It would be simplistic to say that Houston High’s basketball season ended prematurely simply because Justin Frison was injured. It would also be a bit unfair.

The Mustangs had a strong roster in 2024-2025 notwithstanding the many contributions of Frison, the team’s point guard. And following some up-and-down performances, East High was playing its best basketball at the end of the year; its victory over Houston in the first round of the region tournament in March sparked it to what ended up being a trip to the Class AAA state tournament.

Nevertheless, losing Frison at that moment in time was from ideal.
