Eighteen months after annexing land needed for a new industrial park in the northwest corner of the city, Bartlett is set to take the next steps toward creating it.
The suburb’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Tuesday, Sept. 23, voted unanimously to accept two $100,000 grants that will kick-start the environmental study for the proposed development — called Bartlett Innovation Park — at the northwest corner of Walter K. Singleton Parkway and Bolen Huse Road.
City officials envision between 1.7 million and 2 million square feet of industrial space there within the next three to five years.
