Germantown’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a special called meeting at 8 a.m. Friday to consider a disaster declaration as the result of flooding last week.

The agenda says there will also be an allotment of emergency funds.

The meeting comes one week after heavy rains swept through the suburb, and many residents woke up to water in their homes.

The meeting announcement also comes days after several affected residents expressed concerns during Monday’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting.

Friday's special meeting, in the administration conference room at City Hall, is open to the public. It is scheduled to last two hours.
