Before she left Memphis to go to Greenville, South Carolina, executive chef Felicia Willett-Schuchardt said the reality of being invited to a Michelin Guide ceremony hadn’t hit her yet.
Willett-Schuchardt, owner of Felicia Suzanne’s, said she was speechless when an email from the Michelin Guide popped into her inbox in late October, inviting her and her husband to the American South ceremony on Monday, Nov. 3.
“To be honest, I can’t wrap my head around it,” she said. “I’ve been doing this for 23 years and sort of flying under the radar, and I’m happy to do that. To have this sort of recognition is very surreal. You know, pinch me.”
