Bartlett has plan to save Quail Ridge Golf Course, but residents disagree about path forward

The City of Bartlett’s move to save Quail Ridge Golf Course passed its first hurdle last week.

The suburb’s Industrial Development Board unanimously endorsed a new tax-increment-financing district with the revenues used in part to save the Quail Ridge.

The city’s Public Safety and Greenspace Preservation TIF is designed to improve traffic safety, protect public green space, and strengthen the local economy. Part of the green space aspect is to use $3 million from the TIF agreement to buy the golf course at 4055 Altruria Road.
