Stitching love into every seam: Quilt guild’s pillowcases give Youth Villages children something of their own

Many of the kids who stay at Youth Villages come to the Bartlett facility with nothing or very little to their names.
One of the first things they’re given is a handmade pillowcase to lay their head on at night and to take with them once they are discharged.
The pillowcases are created by the Memphis Cotton Patchers Quilt Guild, which has partnered with the non-profit since 2014. The group provides the pillowcases to every child who enters Youth Villages residential care. And this year, Youth Villages has served more than 800 children through residential services.
