For the second year in a row, runners came from near and far to compete in the Moccasin 24-Hour Run at Shelby Farms Park.

The event, which sold out with 150 participants from 18 states, kicked off Friday, Dec. 26, with a special 4-mile kids’ race. Then on Saturday, Dec. 27, the adults hit the trail, with a goal of completing as many 4-mile loops as possible in 24 hours.

The race started at noon at the Wolf River Refuge Trail Head and ends Sunday, Dec. 28, at the same time.
