Brantley Ellzey on the intensity and relief he finds in his new art exhibit
Brantley Ellzey talks about his work, life and exhibit on Crosstown Arts on the Sidebar podcast. (Natalie Van Gundy/The Daily Memphian)
Talking with artist Brantley Ellzey about his remarkable exhibit at Crosstown Arts, you get a detailed sense of the scope of what goes into creating his art.
Ellzey joined me on this week’s episode of “The Sidebar” to talk about work, his life and the exhibit, titled “Reflection + Ritual + Refuge.”
The exhibit is on display throughout the Crosstown Arts galleries through January 25 and Ellzey is doing an artist talk and tour on Saturday, January 17 at 1 pm. (Tickets aren’t required — just show up at Crosstown Arts on the second floor of Crosstown Concourse.)
