Northeast Shelby County suburbs ready for winter storm

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes for local municipalities when a big winter storm’s expected to hit.
For much of this week, officials in suburbs like Arlington and Bartlett have followed their checklists, preparing for possible snow and ice Friday. The scenario is playing out across the Memphis area as the mixture of snow or sleet or ice or any combination is predicted for the area.
For towns like Arlington, all employees are preparing for duty with personnel split into two 12-hour shifts if necessary.
