Mollie Fontaine Lounge returns — but only for a few nights a year
“Mollie Fontaine is a big deal to me,” said Daria Paige, who used to be a regular at the lounge. “It’s no matter what age you are, background, what taste in music you have, there’s always a moment where the entire room seems to connect.” (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
Mollie Fontaine Lounge is back — but only for a few nights a year.
Owner and local restaurateur Karen Carrier will open the Victorian lounge to the public once again Friday, Sept. 25 — something she’s done about once a quarter for the past couple of years.
“It’s a lot of fun,” Carrier said. “It’s a danceathon, and there’s food. And we have security outside in the front and out back, and it’s pretty crazy. We’re really excited about this night.”
