Several incumbent school board candidates in suburban municipal school districts will begin serving new four-year terms later this year, looking to the future.
Some who have served in those roles since the districts formed in 2014 have concerns about state policies, future workforce development and the overall state of education in the U.S.
Bryan Woodruff and fellow incumbent Erin Berry won their Republican primaries on Thursday. With no Democratic challengers ahead, the pair will retain their positions on the Bartlett City Schools board in the suburb’s Nov. 3 general election.
