On the golf course, food is just the ticket

When fans head to the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind this week, there’s one thing they won’t have to worry about buying: food. 

For the first time, the opening event of the PGA Tour FedExCup Playoffs has a new general-admission ticket called Grounds+, which includes free food and nonalcoholic drinks from five tents scattered around the course.

“Every ticket holder gets that, so it’s included with every general-admission ticket,” said Miranda Rossum, PGA Tour public relations manager.
