Shelby County suburbs see rising demand for hotels amid population growth

After many years of limited lodging options, suburbs like Arlington and Lakeland will soon see substantial new hotel construction.
At the same time, in nearby Bartlett, city officials hope to attract more interest from hotel developers as the suburb works to address sewer capacity issues along its main eastern corridor.
Millington, in the midst of a growth spurt, also expects more developer interest in the coming years.
