Brunswick’s railyard ties continue to shape community today

A drive through Brunswick, and it’s hard to believe it sits just outside one of the larger cities in the state.

The quiet rural community is tucked away partially in Bartlett and partially in unincorporated Shelby County, with boundaries of U.S. 70 to the south, Lakeland and Oliver Creek to the east, the Loosahatchie River to the north and Germantown Road/Craven Road to the west.

With a small business pocket adjacent to the CSX railroad crossing and houses spread out on large lots, its character is quite different from its neighbors of Bartlett and Lakeland.
