Bartlett commission favors next phase of Union Depot, frowns on new homes

The Bartlett Planning Commission recommended approval of the latest phase of Union Depot on Monday night, but a separate proposed residential project was rejected for the second time this year.

On Monday, Oct. 5, the commission endorsed significant work for the second phase of Union Depot at the northeast corner of U.S. 70 and U.S. 64. The suburb’s Board of Mayor and Alderman will now review the plan.

But the Guffin Estates residential development, on the north side of Old Brownsville Road and west of Kirby-Whitten Parkway, failed to receive a favorable recommendation for the second time in three months.
