Alexis Luttrell admitted she was going to be petty with her Halloween display last year.
Earlier in 2025, Luttrell effectively won a court battle with the city of Germantown over her yard decorations. Germantown officials said they violated city ordinances while Luttrell argued that she had a First Amendment right to display them.
The city eventually backed down and deleted the ordinance in question, but Luttrell says all the drama and scorn — particularly from neighbors and others who didn’t care for her decorations — led to her decision to get a bit of revenge.
