Fuego Vivo is expected to open by the end of the year in the space formerly occupied by Carrabba’s Italian Grill at 5110 Poplar Avenue.
People familiar with the restaurant said the concept could be an upscale steakhouse similar to the Tekila location at the Nineteenth Century Club building at 1433 Union Ave.
The building’s former restaurant tenant, Red Hook, closed Sunday, Oct. 8.
