‘Young Warriors’ is more than a movie made in Memphis; it’s the start of a film ecosystem in Memphis

As cameras prepared to power down last week, the independent feature film “Young Warriors” is wrapping up a shoot that producers say represents more than just another movie made in Memphis.

For the local team behind the project, it’s a marker of something bigger: a growing film infrastructure rooted in Memphis talent, Memphis neighborhoods and Memphis stories with national-caliber actors helping bring it to the screen.
