Baumer’s Footwear will close up shop this fall
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer and Robert Baumer had already announced the Germantown store would close, but the Memphis location would remain open. Once COVID-19 set in, however, the owners decided to close up shop altogether. (Ziggy Mack/Special to the Daily Memphian)
The Baumers opened their first store in May 1999 in the then-new Trinity Place shopping center at Trinity Road and Germantown Parkway.
