New restaurant, bowling-alley rebrand latest in evolution of ‘eclectic’ Bartlett district

On Stage Road just a block west of Bartlett City Hall, a couple of commercial centers are attracting new businesses reshaping and breathing new life into the area.
Entrepreneurs and Bartlett residents Amjad and Lila Salem opened AJ’s Fish & Chicken at 6337 Stage Road last Saturday. It’s the first business for the couple.
“My son started a pizza restaurant, and he’s doing good,” Amjad Salem said, referring to A1 Pizza that opened in Oakland six months ago. “So we thought a restaurant here would be a good idea.”
