After the pandemic, this psychiatrist wanted to take a holistic approach

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Annie Gadiparthi noticed traditional psychiatric methods and techniques were not the most effective care for patients.
Constrained by insurance, many clinics have time limitations with patients and ethical guidelines restricting therapeutic methods. Coming out of the pandemic and during her own journey, Gadiparthi, 41, realized the norms of child psychiatry may be insufficient.
“At the places I was working at prior, I felt like there was a missing piece in the type of mental health that outpatient services provided,” she said.
