After a national search, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital selected a native of Tunica who’s been with the hospital for more than 20 years. 

Dr. James Downing, president and CEO of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is leading a $12.9 billion, six-year strategic plan — the largest investment in the hospital’s history. 

Incidula Mathew’s company, Hera Health Solutions, grew with the help of ZeroTo510, a Memphis-based accelerator program designed to help entrepreneurs bring medical devices and companies to market.

Friday’s free event will also include a catered dinner buffet, presentations, vendors, informational displays and giveaways, and it will culminate with a balloon release to honor everyone in the Memphis community impacted by HIV/AIDS.

The race on Saturday, Dec. 2, will close roads across Downtown and Midtown, with some closures beginning Friday, Dec. 1.

The $1 million grant ensures Alliance will receive a matching $1 million gift from a private donor for its new mental health crisis center.

Memphis Health Center was owed a bit more than $1 million for thousands of unreported appointments, but TennCare overpaid it by nearly $784,000 for other services during a five-year period. The center did not dispute the comptroller’s findings and accepted responsibility.

Collierville’s Industrial Development Board approved Campbell Clinic’s retention tax incentive. The suburb’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen must approve payment in lieu of taxes.
