The Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel, which is attached to the Renasant Convention Center, could become a different Marriott brand once renovations are complete.
Stephen Kallaher, a member of the development team leading the renovation, said the work would bring the 600-room hotel up to Marriott’s brand standards.
Kallaher, the chief hospitality officer of Carlisle Corp., told attendees at the annual Lodging Industry Update Friday, Feb. 21, that the team plans to spend $150 million to $200 million on the renovation and that it will take more than two years to complete.
