Memphis hotel industry struggles to get back to pre-pandemic numbers

Although the hotel industry in the greater Memphis area has come close to pre-pandemic numbers, the market struggles to improve from year to year.
Hospitality industry leaders spoke on the national and local trends and outlooks, detailing a cautiously optimistic attitude for 2025 at the 27th Annual Lodging Industry Update on Friday, Feb. 21, at Hilton Memphis.
Memphis Tourism data showed Memphis had a 4.5% decrease in occupancy rate in 2024 from 2023.
