Tenn. exceeds 23,000 coronavirus cases
Shelby County saw an increase of 95 cases after 1,454 tests were performed.
The county is reporting a total of 5,003 confirmed coronavirus cases since the first case was reported in early March. Shelby County Health Department reports 3,442 people have recovered.
No new deaths were reported Sunday, May 31, and the total remains at 109.
The county has administered a total of 73,314 tests. The department has asked 2,758 people to quarantine due to contact with a positive case.
In Tennessee, 23,006 people have had coronavirus, an increase of 440 since Saturday, May 30. The state reported 15,300 people have recovered and 364 people have died. Additionally, 435,977 tests have been administered statewide.
