Half Shell sold as longtime Memphis restaurateur retires

Since opening its doors in 1973, The Half Shell has been a popular dining destination for Memphians looking for a casual meal, fresh seafood and New Orleans-inspired fare such as po’boys and gumbo.

But Monday, July 8, marked a new chapter for the restaurant.
