Daily Jigsaw: Scheffler wins!
Sunday’s final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Aug. 16 was less a competition and more of a coronation, an 18-hole victory lap completed under the dizzying summer sun.
All hail Scottie Scheffler. With apologies and respect to Elvis Presley and Jerry Lawler, he was the king in Memphis on Sunday.
The top player in the world rankings and the leader in the FedEx Cup standings capped a dazzling week at TPC Southwind with a final-round 66 to finish at 17-under 263. His eight-stroke victory against Si Woo Kim is his first PGA Tour win since capturing the American Express back in January and the 21st of his decorated career.
