Health department COVID-19 vaccination sites open Saturday

After being closed for two consecutive days due to inclement weather, three Shelby County Health Department COVID-19 vaccination sites reopened Saturday, Feb. 13.

Those sites are:
Southwest Tennessee Community College Whitehaven Center, located at 1234 Finley Road;
Pipkin Building, located at 940 Early Maxwell Road,
and Appling Inspective Station, located at 2355 Appling City Cove.


Health department announces new vaccine dates


All appointments at those three locations are already filled.

At the present time, Shelby County is vaccinating phase 1a1, 1a2 and those age 70 and up on an appointment-only basis. Slots are currently filled, but people can check online or to call (901) 222-SHOT (7468) to be notified when appointments are available. People can also sign up for the VaxQueue standby list.
