Collierville has expanded its candidate interviews to include all four internal applicants, the district announced Monday.

Those candidates are:

  • Jeff Jones, Collierville Schools assistant superintendent
  • Roger Jones, Collierville High principal
  • Leigh Anne Rainey, chief academic officer
  • Tyler Salyer, West Collierville Middle principal

The Board of Education hired the Tennessee School Board Association to begin a search. After reviewing 19 applications, Tammy Grissom, TSBA executive director presented three finalists to the board last week.

Jeff Jones was one of the finalists, along with Russell Dyer and Brett Lemley.

Dyer spent nine years working in Collierville as part of legacy Shelby County Schools and Collierville Schools. Since 2016, he’s been the superintendent of Cleveland City Schools near Chattanooga. The board plans to interview Dyer.

Lemley is the assistant superintendent for secondary schools at Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas. Fort Bend is about 35 miles southwest of Houston.

It was immediately unclear if Lemley would be offered an interview.
