Madonna Learning Center wants to get into the groove with new expansion

Madonna Learning Center expanded in 2013, but it’s growing again to give the adult program its own space while providing more room for school-age children.

The faith-based school serves students with special needs as early as age 4 and also helps adult students. The changes — absorbing land to the east where two houses once stood — will add about 3,200 square feet to the existing building and a new playground.

On the site, a new 16,000-square-foot structure will be dedicated to the adult program. Madonna has about 50 in its program but can accommodate up to 100 with 30 teachers in the new space, Cameron Ross, economic and community development director, said at a recent Planning Commission meeting.
