Three candidates want to complete the remaining two years of an unexpired term on Collierville Schools Board of Education in the Nov. 5 election.
Position 4 on the school board wasn’t supposed to be on the ballot until 2026. Keri Blair defeated three other candidates in 2022 for a four-year term. However, Blair resigned earlier this year after facing shoplifting charges, charges later dismissed.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen appointed Charles Green to serve until the November election. In accordance, with the town’s code, an appointed member serves until the next general election.
Green, along with Tom Bailey and Jeremy Smith, who ran against Blair, want to finish the term. Early voting begins Oct. 16 and ends on Oct. 31. Election Day is Nov. 5.
