With term limits looming, most suburban incumbents still all-in for 2026 races

With just two exceptions, the incumbents are all in for next year’s various elections in northeast Shelby County.
And there will be a bunch. In Bartlett, ballots next year will include races for mayor, three aldermen and three school board seats. Lakeland residents will elect a mayor, two commissioners and three school board members, while Arlington’s elections will feature three aldermen positions and three school board seats.
The Arlington school board positions will be part of the Democratic and Republican Primary Election Day on Tuesday, May 5.
