Both Germantown mayoral candidates talk cash, trash and Houston High

Germantown will have a new mayor, and two candidates with history in the city are seeking the open seat as the elected leader of the suburb.
Mayor Mike Palazzolo announced his retirement from Germantown office after Alderman Tony Salvaggio, the son of former mayor Charles Salvaggio, declared his intentions to seek the top seat. Edgar Babian decided to run after the Planning Commission, then the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, approved changes at Goodwin Farms, a new subdivision bordering Babian’s neighborhood.
Early voting begins Oct. 14, and Election Day is Nov. 3
