Germantown man accused of sexually soliciting minors waives preliminary hearing

A man accused of sexually soliciting minors in Germantown’s Howard McVay Park waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday and the case was sent to the grand jury.
John T. Appling is charged with two counts of solicitation of a minor, specifically with intent to rape. Additional charges include two counts of solicitation of a minor to observe sexual conduct.
