Millington could sue Halbert’s office

Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert claims her office never had a rental agreement with Millington for an office in the suburb and she doesn’t owe the city any money.
But she’s approaching a deadline to pay, after which she could face legal action.
Millington owns the space the Shelby County Clerk’s Office is using, and no rent has been paid in more than 21 months.
