Commission chairman says Harris’ plan for MATA may not pass
Shelby County Commissioners may not approve the plan by County Mayor Lee Harris to charge a countywide sustainability fee to fund public transportation, but Commission Chairman Mark Billingsley said Harris has forced the community to talk about funding the Memphis Area Transit Authority.
