Calkins: The jolliest place in Memphis this season? It might be this UPS Store.

Frazzled by this week before Christmas?
Beaten down by the demands of the season?
Then gather round, my fellow Memphians, while I tell you of a place where the holiday spirit abounds.
The Germantown UPS Store.
Yes, I really mean it.
The UPS Store on Exeter Road, next to the Firestone Complete Auto Care.
“You come in, and you feel happy,” said Vicki Tickle, a customer who stopped by the other day.
“I love this place,” said Cindy Buck, another customer.
“He is the best,” said Dot Beatty, yet another customer.
You sensing the merry trend?
The he Beatty was referring to is Thermon Knighten, who bought the franchise in 2008 and has turned it into the happiest place to launch packages this side of the North Pole.
How happy is it?
Every year, 40 or 50 couples get married in the store.
