When Memphis 901 FC returns to AutoZone Park on July 25, it will be in front of a limited number of fans, according to a plan announced on Friday.

“We appreciate the assistance from the health department, the city administration and the experts we consulted for their continued feedback and assistance in putting together this plan,” club president Craig Unger said in a statement. “We look forward to having fans back to AutoZone Park in the safest way possible.

“We recognize that the fan experience will be dramatically different for the foreseeable future and appreciate the cooperation of our fans in implementing these protocols.”

Among the precautions that will be in place for the game against Charlotte Independence will be health and temperature screenings upon entry; use of digital tickets; limited and cashless concessions; a zoned stadium with assigned entry gates and staggered entry and exit times. Bags will not be permitted but small clutch purses and clear bags will be allowed.

Twelve-foot, socially distanced seating will be in place and masks will be mandatory. The regulations should allow approximately 1,000 people into the stadium and season-ticket holders will receive the first opportunity to claim available seats. Any remaining seats will then be put up for public sale.

Memphis, which is 0-2 on the season following Wednesday’s 3-0 loss to Birmingham, takes on Atlanta United 2 Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
