Wednesday’s scheduled game between Memphis 901 FC and North Carolina FC at AutoZone Park has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test in the Memphis organization.
“A covered person in Memphis 901 FC organization has tested positive ... (and) has been immediately isolated at home and is in good spirits under the care of team physicians,” the club said Tuesday in a statement.
The team added that the game was postponed out of “an abundance of caution.”
The United Soccer League and both clubs will examine how and when to reschedule the match. Memphis’ next game is Saturday in Charlotte, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. CST. The game will be televised on WLMT CW-30 and on ESPN+.
Memphis’ final home game of the year is set for Oct. 3 against Birmingham Legion.
