John Varlas is a lifelong Memphian who has covered high school sports in various capacities for over 20 years.
The city’s soccer team is heading for greener pastures, but the moments and memories will remain. As The Daily Memphian’s 901 FC reporter since the beginning, John Varlas was there for most of them.
