Rebels kicker Micah Davis hooked a 48-yard field-goal attempt way wide with 48 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give the Wildcats their highest-ranked road win since 1977.

Whitehaven improves to moves to 3-0 in Region 8-6A to remain tied for first with Collierville, which defeated Germantown, 15-12. 

The Dragons ended the contest with the Red Devils the same way they started: undefeated. Collierville improves to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in region play.

The Tigers will play host to Middle Tennessee on Saturday. It’ll be the first matchup between the two teams since 2014.

Williams is expected to be reevaluated in four weeks, meaning he could miss the start of the regular season for the Grizzlies.
