The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals on Saturday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. The series is tied 1-1. 

Starnes, who served as Brighton’s defensive coordinator last season, is returning to Memphis to take over as head coach at Wooddale.

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, several events are returning this year, including the M-Town Race Series, which kicks off Saturday, May 7, with the Orion 5K.

“Basketball is not all that he is. It’s just what he does,” Marquita Williams said. “As his mom, I get him away from all of that. It’s about finding a balance, just like it is in anything.” 

If a couple of key players return and the Tigers snag a couple of their targets, next season could feature a sharp lineup.

Steve Kerr called Dillon Brooks’ play “dirty.” Taylor Jenkins was having none of it. An intense series is getting more so by the moment. Do we really have to wait until Saturday for Game 3?

When asked if he objected to Steve Kerr’s comments about Dillon Brooks making a dirty play, Taylor Jenkins responded: “I said what I said.”

The Grizzlies guard was suspended for one game by the NBA for “unnecessary and excessive contact” that resulted in substantial injury.

Ja Morant, who finished with 47 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, scored the Grizzlies’ final 15 points in the win over Golden State.
