Playoff picture will come into better focus — at least somewhat — in Regions 8-6A, 8-5A and 8-3A after Friday.

Now seems like a good time to underscore the importance of basketball for Memphis in the future of any realignment discussions — and to emphasize that the current situation for Tigers basketball is unsustainable.
