Spring Fling: Lakeland Prep wins historic baseball title

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Coach Chris Godwin’s Lakeland Prep baseball team won the Class AA state championship Saturday, jumping on Huntingdon early and going on to win, 9-1.
It’s the first state title in program history for any Lakeland athletic team. The school only opened in 2022 and won’t graduate its first senior class until next spring.
