Rankings aren’t distracting Collierville soccer from ultimate goal

The players on this year’s Collierville girls soccer team all have eyes. And ears. And functioning brains.

The Dragons can power on their computers, log on to MaxPreps, and read what the website thinks of their season so far. It’s a very high opinion.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, the Dragons — 14-1-0 after a 7-1 victory over Bartlett on Oct. 1 — are ranked first in the state and third nationally. It would be a significant accomplishment if regular-season accolades were the ultimate goal.
