Emily Farm led the Stars back to state for the first time in 10 years. Briarcrest’s Jauregui claims top coach honor.
Coach Alston won four football state titles with the Owls, while also serving as the school’s track coach and athletic director.
Ireland built the Stars into one of Tennessee’s top programs during his 27-year tenure, winning more than 250 games.

Houston is the first Shelby County team to play in the BlueCross Bowl since 2020, when MUS lost in the Division 2-AAA final. The last local team to win state was ECS in D2-AA in 2019 and no Shelby County public school has won state since 2016.Related story:
