The Tigers (8-2) will play host to UAB on Saturday as they try to get one step closer to a 10-win season.

Memphis defensive back and former White Station High standout Greg Rubin said the plan was always to play his entire career with the Tigers. He’ll play in his final home game this weekend.

The Memphis Tigers football team isn’t mathematically eliminated from conference championship contention, but a 44-36 loss to UTSA makes it highly unlikely. 

Whatever hopes anybody was still clinging to of the Tigers reaching the American Athletic Conference title game have now been all but dashed. The most anticipated football season in program history is likely to end with an appearance in a mediocre bowl game.
