The Memphis football season has not gone as planned, but head coach Ryan Silverfield isn’t concerned about the Tigers’ buy-in for the season finale.

The Tigers are one regular-season game away from the postseason. Here’s a look at which bowls the national websites are projecting for Memphis.

Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina, is expected to have one of the most hostile crowds the Tigers have seen this season. 

The writing is on the wall for Memphis to miss out on a conference championship for the sixth straight season. But there are potential, albeit unlikely, scenarios keeping Tiger hopes alive.

Friday’s matchup between Memphis and Tulane could turn out to be an elimination game for a berth in the American Conference Championship.

The Memphis-Tulane matchup doesn’t have a special trophy for the winning team like the Battle for the Bones when the Tigers play UAB. But that doesn’t make it any less intriguing.

No Group of Six school was included in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season. 

Brendon Lewis appeared hobbled after a hit during Memphis’ road win over Rice, but offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey said Lewis “is great.” 

The Tigers are ranked higher than they were last week in both national polls.
