Once again this season, The Daily Memphian is recognizing a high school football player of the week.

And we need you — our readers — to help.

Each Monday, we post several of the top performers from the previous week’s games. Readers can vote for their favorite through Thursday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m., when we’ll announce the winner.

Here are the Week 9 candidates.

Wright Arthur, ECS: The Eagles picked up their first region victory of the season thanks in large part to the running of Arthur. In just the first half, he picked up 158 yards on 16 carries and scored four times (41, 9, 3, 21) while also completing 2 of 3 passes for 20 yards in a 41-0 win over Northpoint.

Lathaniel Henderson, Bolton: Bolton remained undefeated in Region 8-3A play, holding Wooddale to just 128 total yards in a 12-6 victory. Middle linebacker Henderson played a huge role, recording eight solo tackles and assisting on two others.

Jack Hill, MUS: Owls’ fans will be happy to have Hill on the roster for two more seasons. The sophomore quarterback completed 6 of 11 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown, and carried the ball eight times for 87 yards and two more scores — including a 60-yarder — as MUS handed Central its first loss of the season, 42-21.

Camarion Seaberry, Manassas: Seaberry has quietly put together a very good season for the Tigers, who moved into second place in Region 8-1A with a 32-0 victory over Booker T. Washington. The senior rushed for 135 yards on 14 carries and scored on runs of 7, 39 and 32 yards.
