Collierville, Bartlett students take top honors in airport art contest
Collierville sophomore Meredith Dai won first place in Memphis International Airport's "Arts in the Airport" contest for "A Levitt Picnic." The painting depicts a family enjoying a meal while listening to music at the Overton Park venue.

"Colors of Memphis" by Collierville sophomore Vibha Duraikkannan, won third place in Memphis International Airport's "Arts in the Airport" contest. She drew inspiration from her trips to the Memphis Zoo over the years.
Aria Battle captured Downtown landmarks and the roadways frequented by those traveling from Memphis to West Memphis. Battle won second place in Memphis International Airport's "Arts in the Airport" contest. Battle is a recent graduate of City University School of Liberal Arts.
While 51 pieces from local high school students will hang in the airport, six were given special recognition. The 14th annual High School Visual Arts and Photography Competition is part of Memphis International Airport’s Art in the Airport program.
