Christopher Calix spends his workdays with his crew installing interior trim at the Union Depot mixed-use project in Bartlett.
But Calix also is balancing the duties of opening a new business in the suburb. He and a silent partner hope to open 901 Slushies, Ice Cream & Treats location at 6253 Stage Road by the end of this month. The partners opened their first location at 1469 Wells Station Road in Berclair.
“We found a good location, and I live in Bartlett too, so we thought, “Why not?,’” said Calix, who runs his own construction business, All in One Services and Management.
He grew up in Bartlett, and his parents still live in the suburb. Going together to Baskin-Robbins on Stage Road throughout his life played a pivotal role in his love for sweet treats.
